The first summer project for 2012

This Infill which i installed fence posts for last year was purchased the same day it went on the market. After spending the winter looking out on the small but full of potential yard the
proud new owners asked me if I could take the old deck off which used up about 50 % of the yard and replace it with something stylish, cedar and most of all functional with a bit of
privacy from the next door neighbour. With a general idea of what they wanted I hit the drawing table and came up with a contemporary yet rustic approach to an urban retreat. The
rough cedar garden box and the slat privacy screen thrown in on this no screw hole deck combines fine detail with rustic charm.

 Complete Back Yard Development

This yard began surrounded by hedges with a ground level concrete patio. RM Construction Services designed, demo'd and constructed this project and turned a builder's grade yard from the 50's into a custom retreat designed to suit. We raised doors, took out windows, re-graded the yard, pulled hedges, erected fences, face lifted retaining walls, laid new grass, built a deck designed to suit and here is what we ended up with.

Country Time Deck

After severe hail damage RM Construction Services replaced the siding on this country beauty. To maximize the panoramic view we designed and constructed this simple yet suitable deck off the dining and kitchen area. Perfect for summertime BBQ'n.

"The Fortress"

A proud new father came to RM Construction Services to transform his "bachelor" back yard into a impenetrable fortress that could be peaceful, relaxing and safe for his very precious first daughter to play in. This yard was for the most part used as a parking lot. We took the falling over picket fence down, re-graded the entire yard and put up a fence that could hold back an army. After tearing off the old vinyl deck we put up this cedar and pine three level deck that the home owner boasts about.

8x16 Portable Shed

A plumber can accumulate a lot of extra equipment over the years. They tend to think they will use the old thing again some day or maybe sell it cheap. The truth is they never get used or sold so when this plumbers wife came to RM Construction Services to get her husbands "%@#! out of the garage we were happy to help. Needing more space than a typical shed from the hardware store and not wanting to pull a permit for an addition to the garage we decided to go with the skid shack concept. The home owner wanted low maintenance with a hint of style so we chose a simple vinyl siding with a custom barn door.

Country Wedding

Earlier this year RM Construction Services re-shingled this classic farm house.  The landowners mentioned they were interested in adding to the roof line of the home to keep the summer sun of the metal door. We suggested that the benefit of the roof line extension was great but maybe we could come up with a solution with more eye appeal. After designing a fantastic cedar pergola and presenting it, the home owner made some personal changes and we went ahead with construction. By the time we were done the farmer's daughter decided to move her wedding to the ranch. Next... maybe a Barn Raising!
